2023 SUMMER PROGRAMS
Welcome to SUMMER at the JAZZ HOUSE! For 20 years, JAZZ HOUSE KiDS has brought award-winning programming that engages and excites students, promotes harmony and collaboration and builds musicianship. The JAZZ HOUSE welcomes instrumental and vocal students of all levels, ages 12 to 18, from beginners to pre-professionals headed to the nation’s stop college music programs.
JAZZ HOUSE SUMMER SESSIONS
JUNE + JULY
JOiN US for weekly small ensembles featuring the compositions of jazz’s iconic composers! Immerse yourself in the music of these legendary composers and learn the improvised language they used to create their unique sound.




SUMMER WORKSHOP
July 31 – AUGUST 12
The award-winning intensive session immerses instrumental and vocal students ages 12-18 of all levels in top-notch instruction to develop key skills, enhance knowledge in fundamentals and the art of jazz performance. Highlights include masterclasses, small group and big band ensembles, mentoring and jam sessions with professional musicians, history and culture, composition and film scoring. Final performance at the MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL.
ADULT SUMMER CLASSES
JAZZ HOUSE KiDS Summer Programming for ADULT instrumentalists of all levels. YOUR INNER MUSICIAN IS CALLING YOU! IN-PERSON two adult ensembles: improv core classes for beginners and advaned students. Four weekly online deep -dive electives: Music Production, Film Scoring, Drum Shed, and more!




Trinity Youth SUMMER
July 10 – July 21
Join us in July for our brand-new jazz instrumental and vocal programming for all levels! Whether you’re new to jazz and never played an instrument or are already a seasoned player, these seriously fun week-long sessions will give all students top-notch instruction to develop key skills, advanced knowledge in fundamentals and the art of performance.
