JAZZ HOUSE KiDS, led by Melissa Walker and Christian McBride, celebrates its 15th Annual Montclair Jazz Festival, with events spanning June, July, August and September.
Voted New Jersey’s FAVORITE MUSIC FESTIVAL by Jersey Arts’ Peoples Choice Awards, year after year, the MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL is an exceptional event that brings our communities together, featuring incredible world-class jazz performances. The MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL has grown to be the largest FREE jazz festival in the greater NYC area and one of the largest free jazz festivals in the country.
Over the years, the MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL transformed from a few dozen musicians playing jazz in the park to events and performances spanning the summer, featuring over 50 hours of live music, downtown stages, 200+ artists, 100 food + artisan vendors and 35,000+ music fans.
Live jazz, for the whole community and whole family is made possible by a UNIQUE PARTNERSHIP with community organizations, corporate entities, local businesses and government, keeping the MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL free and accessible to all. We thank all who supported this effort, helping to strengthen MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL to NEW JERSEY’S premier music festival of the summer.
We’d like to thank the town of Montclair and Essex County for their support; Bloomfield Avenue, one of the main arteries of Montclair, is closed off to traffic to make room for festival goers to enjoy a tremendous jazz experience, dining, shopping, and all that Montclair, NJ has to offer.
