For over a decade, JAZZ HOUSE KiDS has presented JAZZ HOUSE Goes to College for students considering pursuing music at the collegiate level. We develop strong community leaders and global citizens by giving our students the tools to continue pursuing their goals long after they leave the JAZZ HOUSE classrooms. This day-long program of action-oriented workshops, panel discussions, networking and a college fair with top universities from across the nation is designed to help students and their families explore the vast opportunities in the music industry, both on stage and off.

Event Highlights
Morning Session
- 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Continental Breakfast & Networking
Start your day with a light breakfast and the chance to mingle with peers and industry professionals - 10:00 AM – 10:15 AM: Welcome and Opening Remarks
Kick off the event with opening remarks outlining the day’s schedule and objectives - 10:15 AM – 11:15 AM: “Careers On the Stage” Panel
Learn from seasoned performers as they share insights on building a career on stage, including performance tips, touring experiences, recording processes, and more. - 11:15 AM – 11:30 AM: Break

Representatives from 12 to 14 top colleges share information about their music programs
Engage in a Q&A session to get your questions answered about admissions, programs, and campus life - 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Parent & Student Breakout Sessions
- For Parents & Guardians: Gain insights on admissions, scholarships, and specific program offerings in a focused setting
- For Students: Participate in an interactive session with college alumni; Discuss student life, audition preparation, and firsthand experiences in college music programs
College Fair
- 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM: College Fair
Meet one-on-one with college representatives at their info tables Collect brochures and detailed information about various music programs Explore a variety of schools to find the best fit for your musical journey. Continue conversations from the breakout sessions and ask additional questions
Event Conclusion
