JAZZ IN JULY
CALLING ALL NYC STUDENTS, GRADES 6 -12! JAZZ HOUSE NYC invites you to join us for Jazz in July; jazz instrumental and vocal programming for all levels! Held at Trinity Commons in Lower Manhattan, students will develop key skills, advanced knowledge in fundamentals, and learn the art of performance in the week-long sessions. Whether you’re new to jazz and have never played an instrument, or are already a seasoned player, this free, seriously fun summer intensive is for you! Students receive instruction from acclaimed professional musicians and guest artists to help them become well-rounded players.

MONDAY – FRIDAY | 9:00 am – 5:00 pm + Daily Jam Session 5:00 – 6:00 pm
SATURDAY | Community Jazz Brunch + Finale Performance @ 1:00 pm
Immerse yourself in the art of jazz performance! Hone your skills through improv, music theory, vocal technique, big band, and large ensemble. Students receive instruction from acclaimed professional musicians and guest artists to help them become well-rounded players.

Let us introduce you to the art of jazz performance in this exciting week-long program! Learn to play an instrument* and join the band, or explore the art of choral singing in our Soulful Voices ensemble. Kickstart your learning with improv, music theory, vocal technique and ensemble play.
*Instruments for loan include: alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, flute, clarinet and acoustic guitar. Keyboards are available for in classroom use. Students are also welcome to bring their own instruments from home.
