Returning with renewed passion and enthusiasm this fall is our adult Community Bands, led by the charismatic Ed Palermo. Open to students of all levels, Palermo uses custom arrangements, from big band swing to the music of Frank Zappa, to complement the talents of each performer.

Calling all grownups who love to sing! JAZZ HOUSE Montclair is offering a brand new Jazz Vocal Workshop for adult singers, taught by renowned vocalist + educator Kate Baker. Designed to develop the artist and create a repertoire to perform or record with, the class will focus on vocal technique, phrasing and storytelling, arranging tunes for the specific artist, how to lead a band and get what you want from the musicians. Oh, and there will be performances too!

AFRO – LATIN BIG BAND

This elective is for students looking to expand their base of Afro-Cuban and Brazilian rhythms. This ensemble will develop students’ understanding of traditional Latin rhythms, songs and techniques.
