Luther S. Allison is a performer, educator, composer, and clinician currently based out of New York City. As a sideman he has performed on both piano and drums alongside Rodney Whitaker, Michael Dease, Etienne Charles, Greg Tardy, and is currently the pianist with Ulysses Owens Jr.’s Generation Y Quintet. In addition to being featured on several albums for Posi-Tone Records, he has also worked internationally as a clinician and performer in Mexico, China, Japan, St. Lucia, and Trinidad & Tobago. Allison is currently on faculty in the Jazz department at The Calhoun School and JAZZ HOUSE @ TRINITY in New York, NY and the Brevard Jazz Institute summer camp in Brevard, NC.
