Jamie Abbott

Jaime joined JAZZ HOUSE KiDS in 2025. She brings over 20 years of fundraising experience, raising tens of millions of dollars for nonprofits. Jaime has created in-house development and communications departments and overseen the development of individual giving programs focused on major and transformational gifts. As a leader, she creates cultures of philanthropy, engages boards of directors, and prioritizes donor relationship-building for long-term investment in organizational success.

Jaime has held past leadership and fundraising positions at HousingPlus, Safe Horizon, Habitat for Humanity – NYC and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. She has also been a consultant and volunteer fundraiser for national and international organizations. On the local level, she has raised funds for organizations supporting domestic violence survivors, feeding food-insecure communities, protecting endangered wildlife and homeless animals, conserving our natural habitats, and sponsoring youth sports. Jaime worked in the legal field before committing to the nonprofit sector full-time.

Jaime holds an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership & Management through the Leadership Fellows Program at the Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Baruch College, an M.P.A. in Nonprofit Organization Management from Seton Hall University, an M.A. in Ancient & Medieval History from Ohio University, and a B.A. in Economics Management and History from Ohio Wesleyan University. In her spare time, Jaime enjoys reading, listening to music, travel, and exploring nature with her Weimaraner,
Briseis.
