We are still savoring the spectacular and memorable evening with Sting and Christian at the RALPH PUCCI 8th Annual Jazz Set, The Lowdown: Conversations with Christian®, an intimate gathering of 200 guests to benefit JAZZ HOUSE KiDS.
What a night! It felt like we were in the living room of two friends who were catching up. Hitting one high note after another, we watched master storytellers at work…or was it play? Christian was the perfect host, elevating the night with Sting’s humorous and insightful conversation and musical moments we will not soon forget.

We are so incredibly grateful to Sting for helping us usher in our third decade of using the power of jazz to create avenues of access, learning, career development and community building. Thank you to Christian, and thank you to Ralph for his enthusiastic support and tireless effort to help us play it forward.
Sting and McBride, good friends and frequent collaborators, performed some of the 17-time GRAMMY Award winner’s most celebrated songs from his illustrious career as a solo artist and frontman for The Police, including “Roxanne,” “Moon Over Bourbon Street,” “Walking On the Moon,” “Message in a Bottle” and “Every Breath You Take.” The JAZZ HOUSE Soulful Voices Choir, made up of talented students from the organization’s Montclair and New York City programs, opened with show-stopping renditions of “Fields of Gold” and “Every Little Thing She Does is Magic.” Christian and Sting invited the JAZZ HOUSE Soulful Voices and instrumental students back on stage to perform with them for the finale, “Fragile,” receiving resounding applause and a standing ovation!
The impact and reach of JAZZ HOUSE KiDS would not be possible without the support of our friends, colleagues, partners and strong community. Funds raised from this one-night-only event enable the JAZZ HOUSE to conduct life-changing programs that level the playing field, help close the achievement gap and boost graduation rates through its robust year-round classes and programs, private lessons, music education in schools, and getting instruments into the hands of young artists.
