Since forging an early bond with the Mingus Big Band, Pelt has continued to create meaningful collaborations, performing alongside such notable ensembles as the Roy Hargrove Big Band, the Village Vanguard Orchestra, the Duke Ellington Big Band, and others. As a bandleader in his own right, he has toured globally and recorded 10 albums, the latest of which is Soundtrack.
