Dave Holland

Dave Holland is a renowned bassist, composer and bandleader whose passion for musical expression of all styles and dedication to creating innovative ensembles have propelled a career of more than 50 years. A guiding light on acoustic and electric bass, Holland has earned top honors including multiple Grammy Awards and Grammy Nominations and the title of NEA Jazz Master. Holland rose to prominence in groundbreaking groups led by such legends as Miles Davis, Stan Getz, Sam Rivers, Betty Carter and Anthony Braxton and Joe Henderson—as well as collaborations with Chick Corea, Gary Burton, Jack DeJohnette and John Abercrombie. Today he is equally celebrated for his own remarkable ensembles, ranging from duos and trios to big bands, featuring innovative collaborators like Steve Coleman, Robin and Kevin Eubanks, Jason Moran, Chris Potter and Eric Harland. Holland’s most recent release, Another Land is a trio featuring Kevin Eubanks and Obed Calvaire.

Kevin Eubanks

Kevin Eubanks is a prolific guitarist and composer. He is well known as the former Music Director of The Tonight Show band, appearing on the show 18 years (1992 – 2010). As one of the most accomplished guitarists in history, Kevin’s laidback style and affability seems to belie the concentration and focus that have made him successful both as a consummate musician and a household name for late-night TV viewers. Kevin has worked with some of the greats of Jazz, including Art Blakey, Slide Hampton, McCoy Tyner, Sam Rivers, Roy Haynes, Dave Holland, Ron Carter and others. In 1995, Kevin joined The Tonight Show Band featuring Jay Leno. His versatility and open -minded approach enabled him to write and choose music that satisfied the huge and varied audience for the show. The position afforded Kevin the opportunity to work with great and popular musicians from all genres. He loves to do volunteer work for charities and maintains an active relationship with the organization dearest to his heart, The Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

Eric Harland

Eric Harland is a multi-Grammy nominated, and the most “In demand drummer” of his generation. He has already been on close to 500 recordings and multiple film scores at his age of 45. Harland has been recognized in the Boston Globe, New York Times, JazzTimes, Modern Drummer, All About Jazz, The New Yorker, DownBeat, L’uomo Vogue and other prominent publications.

Harland has had the privilege of sharing the stage with masters such as Betty Carter, Joe Henderson, MyCoy Tyner, Michael Brecker, Terence Blanchard, Branford and Wynton Marsalis, Wayne Shorter, Savion Glover, SFJAZZ Collective and many others, as well as today’s up and coming artist like Esperanza Spalding, Jane Monheit, Taylor Eigsti, Julian Lage, Stacie Orrico, Robert Glasper and more. His current list of performing groups are “JAMES FARM” with Joshua Redman, “PRISM” with Dave Holland and Kevin Eubanks, “SANGAM” with Charles Lloyd and Zakir Hussain, “Charles Lloyd New Quartet”, “OVERTONE” with Dave Holland, Jason Moran, Chris Potter and “VOYAGER,” Harland’s own widely-recognized group. Eric also manages to fit in many collaborations with widely-recognized artist like Les Claypool “PRIMUS”, “DISPATCH” the band, KRS1, John Mayer, Gigi Hadid, Spike Lee, Steve Miller, Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson and more.
