Starting June 8th, JAZZ HOUSE KiDS will offer four exciting new online weekly classes for adult musicians from 6:00 PM to 7:15 PM. Each class runs eight weeks.
Have you been part of a jazz group? Do you aspire to perform in a ‘combo’? This class breaks down the fundamentals of ensemble
playing, preparing you to interact with your fellow musicians on stage, or even virtually.

JAZZ BRAiN
This is a fun music/jazz theory class, covering all the elements involved when performing jazz. Open to all instrumentalists as well as classical musicians, this class will focus on building musicianship, working on fundamentals as well as advanced concepts of music theory and its application in real-time improvisation.

NEW! ViRTUAL COLLABORATiON
As musicians “play through the changes” and adapt to a new environment, the ability to record yourself (audio/video) has become increasingly important. The course will explore recording techniques applied to virtual collaborations with fellow musicians.

LATiN JAZZ – A FOUNDATiON
Diving into this fun and engaging class, students will get a first hand experience playing Bossa Novas, Boleros, Cuban Son, Merengue, Salsa, as well as Mambo and Cha Cha. This class is for the intermediate or advanced adult instrumentalist, ready to jump into a world of rhythmic colors! Each week focuses on a different style, exposing the student a vast variety over the course of eight weeks.

ADULT COMMUNITY BAND
“Another Big Band,” is back this summer! As educational as it is fun, this class offers students the chance to work on interesting repertoire, and custom arrangements by the instructor Ed Palermo.
