Lauren Grigoryev

Development Operations Manager
Lauren Grigoryev

Lauren joined the development team at JAZZ HOUSE KiDS in October and has greatly enjoyed getting to know the community of supporters who make it possible for the JAZZ HOUSE to achieve its mission of creating avenues of access, learning, career development and community building.

Lauren’s career is steeped in politics and journalism throughout New York, Virginia and Florida. She had the honor of serving as treasurer to elect the first woman and first African American Bronx Borough President in 2021. Her political work has often focused on supporting causes to even the playing field for under-served communities, especially children, and advance access to education.

Prior to becoming a political consultant, Lauren worked as a reporter and editor. Her writing has appeared in The Associated Press, the Miami Herald, The New York Sun and The Daytona Beach News-Journal among other publications.

She lives by the idea that it is better to give than to receive and strives to see the humor in all things. As a tribute to this outlook, she asks that if you made it to the end of her biography, you would consider making a donation to JAZZ HOUSE KiDS today :).
