Science High School’s auditorium was the coolest place in Newark on Wednesday, April 24! Jazz House Kids and the Newark Public Schools Office of Visual and Performing Arts presented musical showcase highlighting the Jazz House Music Club and Vocal Summit programs in five schools — Oliver Street School, Abington Avenue School, Rafael Hernandez School, Science Park High School and the John F. Kennedy School.
The concert also included a special performance by the Jazz House Teaching Artist Ensemble. The students really enjoyed seeing their instructors in action!
Celebrating 10 years in Newark Public Schools, Jazz House Kids enjoys a year-round arts, education presence in the city, providing in-school residencies and summer programming for students in grades K-12.
