JAZZ HOUSE KiDS brings top-flight teaching artists and tested programs right into schools, where we collaborate with teachers and administrators to create robust, exciting, and authentic jazz instruction for their students. Our work in schools, in underserved communities of New Jersey, is a central chord of our mission to bridge the artistic gap and give students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities access to a first-class music education. We currently operate in 11 schools, teaching more than 500 students annually. We invite you to explore the exciting world of JAZZ HOUSE KiDS!
ASSEMBLIES + CONCERTS
Our world-class vocal and instrumental teaching artists mentor choirs and instrumental ensembles for a few weeks, months or the entire school year!
INSIDE THE JAZZ NOTE MASTERCLASS
Led by JAZZ HOUSE KiDS’ Artistic Chair and 5-time GRAMMY Award-winning bassist Christian McBride, the Inside the Jazz Note Masterclass® is an action-packed full day for school jazz bands, filled with music, stories, and a Q&A session.
GIVE AN INSTRUMENT, BUILD A MUSICIAN
Through our Give An Instrument, Build a Musician Fund, we place instruments in the hands of kids sitting on the sidelines and enable them to join their school bands. In fact, we provide more than $50,000 in instruments to students annually, as well as master classes to further boost their abilities and interest.
