In-School

The level of the students auditioning at Arts High has gone considerably this year. I have no doubt that the Jazz House Music Club has a role to play in that.”

~Performing Arts Chair, Arts High School, Newark

Jazz House Kids brings top-flight artists and tested programs right into schools, where we collaborate with teachers and administrators to create robust, exciting, and authentic jazz instruction for their students. Our work in schools is a central chord of our mission to bridge the artistic gap and give students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities access to a first-class music education.

Jazz House Kids is the only community arts organization in New Jersey exclusively dedicated to educating children through jazz: America’s home-grown art form. At the Jazz House, we ensure that every student has access to music, education, mentoring, and apprenticeship.
