ABOUT THE ARTiSTS

Iconic American singer and musician BRUCE HORNSBY, “a remarkable pianist who’s not afraid to show off some technique,” is known for his “mix-and-match virtuosity” (New York Times) with GRAMMY- winning bluegrass projects and longtime work with the Grateful Dead.

NEA Jazz Master and GRAMMY winner JACK DeJOHNETTE is hailed by Rolling Stone¬†as #40 on the list of “100 Greatest Drummers of All Time.” He has played with virtually every major jazz figure since the 1960s, including Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Ornette Coleman, Sonny Rollins and Abbey Lincoln.

In his role as Artistic Chair, six-time GRAMMY winner and virtuoso jazz bassist CHRISTIAN McBRIDE leads the musical direction for JAZZ HOUSE KiDS and its MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL, just voted “Favorite Music Festival” by People’s Choice Awards. Says New Yorker, “The Fred Astaire of the acoustic bass, McBride makes his extraordinary playing look easy.”
